After extensive renovations, the Croydon Memorial Pool was re-opened in time for the 2007/2008 Summer Season. The pool was closed throughout the 2006/2007season following the introduction of stage 3a water restrictions. The Maroondah City Council spent almost $1,000,000 on renovations to ensure the pool would remain operational. The Victorian Government contributed $250,000 towards the works.
All pools have been renovated, including installation of an industrial strength vinyl liner system and the splash decks have been retiled and regrated. Pipes and overflow channels have also been repaired and refurbished and out of the pools, the Men’s change rooms, first aid room and reception areas have been renovated.
Council has also commenced installation of a water saving filtration system.
