Access for All Abilities

Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre proudly supports the following Access for All Abilities programs.

 

Aussie Hoops - Thursday Afternoons

Aussie Hoops is an introductory basketball program for children with special needs aged 5 to 12 years. The program introduces participants to important coordination skills, motor skills and social skills. The program is a term based program lasting 45 minutes and is conducted by a qualified instructor/coach.

Balloon Football - Tuesday Mornings

Pilot competition staring Term 3 2011. Balloon Football is a sport played at walking pace with players in wheelchairs. Wheelchairs can either be motorised or manually pushed by an assistant. Program proudly supported by Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre / Eastern Recreation Leisure Services Inc (ERLS) and Scope.

 

Bounce into Life - Friday Mornings

Bounce into Life introduces participants to a variety of ball sports with the opportunity to develop important coordination skills, motor skills and social skills. To enhance the delivery of the tailored program, sessions are conducted in a fun, social and relaxed environment utilising different teaching methods to stimulate participants' learning processes.

Bounce into Life runs every Friday morning between 9:30am and 12pm, excluding school and public holidays.
