The Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre is an ideal venue to host interschool sports carnivals, clinics, school competitions, special events, sporting days or just an extra venue for physical education classes.
The Centre operates four modern multi purpose courts accommodating a variety of sports and activities in a safe environment
The facility also includes:
1. Function room; equipped with television, video, whiteboard and large seating area.
2. Kiosk available for large carnivals / tournaments.
3. Grand stand accommodating 265 spectators
4. Large car park facility directly off Canterbury Rd (ideal for bus groups).
5. Changing room facilities.
6. Disabled access.
7. Facility can be closed to the public for exclusive use.
The Centre is fully heated and air-conditioned so whatever the weather elements are outside, the stadium provides comfortable conditions for active participation.
Basketball & Netball Clinics - Primary and Secondary Students
Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre can assist in your physical education curriculum. We can provide qualified coaches who can teach the skills of both basketball and netball. Clinics can be conducted at the school or at the Centre. Clinics cater for all levels and ages.
Primary School Open Days
Throughout term four, the stadium hosts a number of open days where students have the opportunity to experience a number of activities while receiving expert tuition from qualified coaches. Open days promote the benefits young people can have living a balanced healthy and active lifestyle. Participants will have the opportunity to partake in traditional and alternate sports such as basketball, netball, volleyball, indoor soccer, football, tenpin bowling and lawn bowls.
The program can be designed around schools’ requirements. The program runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s in term four. Bookings are essential.
