Ringwood Diving Club
Kinder Dive This course is aimed at pre-schoolers from 3 - 5 years. The series of lessons will introduce techniques and equipment used in diving. Classes will be safe and active in an educational environment promoting body awareness, balance and strength. Children will learn correct body movements for diving and set achievable standards. Children will use gymnastic and fun equipment, specific for their age level. Divers will progress at their own level, and some work will be done each session in the diving pool. They will use the poolside and the 1 metre springboards.
Dive School Designed to give pupils an early introduction to diving skills. The scheme is a fun activity to bridge the gap between swimming lessons and the diving squads, or as an alternative to swimming lessons. This exciting introduction to diving builds water confidence and works on fundamental skills like posture, balance, rotation, body awareness and develop skills for springing, preparing the diver to progress to advanced skills. In a wider context, few sports develop co-ordination, confidence and physical fitness better than diving!
Teenagers & Adults Diving Classes for Grown Ups!
Aimed at experienced older divers not competing in competitions, ex-divers, gymnasts, teenagers, or for the parents who have children diving.
Join in the fun and to keep fit. This training group will cater for a wide range of abilities and age ranges. Divers will utilise skills from the RDC Awards Scheme to achieve their individual goals. Divers will be given the option of joining Ringwood Diving Club and diving in competitive events.
Squads Once a diver has consolidated the fundamental skills they will be invited into one of the RDC squads. Divers will advance their skills and may also be preparing for competition. RDC assist all divers to achieve their goals and potential.
School Holidays RDC also offer school holidays classes for all levels of divers. During school holidays RDC do promotional work so keep an eye out for free try outs and auditions.
Try Outs RDC offer a once only Try Out session to see if you like diving with no further commitment required, just see if you like it before paying for a term! The only requirement to dive at Ringwood Diving Club is that you are a minimum of 5 years old and must be able to swim confidently in deep water. If you've done trampolining or gymnastics before, then you'll already have some of the skills necessary to become a first class springboard or highboard diver. However, this is not necessary at all as we cater for complete beginners to elite.
