Gymnastics Redevelopment

Update - Monday 8 April 2024

There have unfortunately been some delays in the project due to material shortages. This means the re-opening of our facility will be later than originally programmed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and can’t wait to welcome you back to the newly renovated space in late May.

In exciting news, we are currently building a brand-new foyer area for parents and guardians that was outside of the project’s original scope. Construction of the new foyer area is currently underway. This addition will provide a comfortable space for you to observe your gymnasts while they learn and grow! This will greatly enhance the overall experience and create a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Our team is working diligently through the final stages of the project plans. We will have more details on a re-opening date in the coming weeks.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure a smooth and successful re-opening. Your continued support and loyalty is very important to us, and we are grateful for your enthusiasm for gymnastics at Aquahub!

We cannot wait to welcome you back to our newly improved gymnastics facility soon. Keep an eye out for further information.

Update - Monday 19 February 2024

Works are progressing well, with the large space now clear and the floor undergoing sanding to enable further works to begin.

Upcoming works on the project include:

New floor surface will be laid from Monday 19 February
A 15m x 15m sprung floor will be installed in the coming weeks
A Gymnastics foyer area and convenient amenities for Gymnastics participants will be constructed
Exciting new gymnastics equipment will be installed, including the Ninja Frame, a Ninja Wall for kids to climb, and a Fitness Wheel. Check out the photos in the gallery.

We appreciate your patience and support throughout this renovation process. We cannot wait to welcome you back to the upgraded gymnastics stadium soon!

Details will be communicated in late March on the gymnastics program resuming and the opening of the new stadium!

Update - Thursday 11 January 2024

Works are well underway. A massive transformation has already taken place to prepare for the upgrades.

Works completed so far:

Old lighting and roofing fixtures have been removed
Cupboards have been taken out to expand the space
The stadium has been patched and painted
Grandstand seating has been removed
The first layer of flooring has been removed

Works coming up

Coming up over the next month, the floor will be prepared for the new surface to be installed.

Key dates

Gymnastics lessons finish: Sunday 3 December 2023
Works begin: Monday 4 December 2023
Reopening: mid-April 2024

From Monday 4 December 2023 to mid-April 2024, the Aquahub stadium will be closed to create a purpose-built facility for our growing gymnastics program. This is a necessary step to enhance the quality of our services and provide a better experience for our gymnastics members.
Some of the works include:

Sprung flooring
Foam pit installation
Updated equipment

All Gymnastics members will automatically be put on freeze during the closure period. If you would like to utilise the pools during this time you can opt-in via the button below to continue your membership through this period or pay casually.
