Maroondah Nets hosts domestic or representative netball and volleyball competitions.

Domestic Netball Competitions

Melbourne East Netball Association (MENA):

Melbourne East Netball Association (MENA) was established in 1952-3 and has been providing netball competitions in the Outer Eastern Suburbs for over 50 years. The association consists of fourteen (14) affiliate clubs and about twelve (12) independent teams located throughout the eastern suburbs, centered around the Ringwood area. Clubs from Park Orchards (North), Bayswater (East), Vermont (South) and Blackburn Lake (West) play in the association.

MENA offer the following competitions:

  • 9 & Under Mixed Competitions on Friday afternoons.
  • 11 & Under Mixed Competitions on Saturdays.
  • 13 & Under Competitions on Saturdays.
  • 15 & Under Competitions on Saturdays.
  • 17 & Under Competitions on Saturdays.
  • Open Women's Social Competition on Wednesday nights.

There are also Representative teams for:

  • Open
  • 17 & Under
  • 15 & Under
  • 13 & Under 
  • Development squad for the 11 & Under age group.

Representative and VNL Netball

Ariels (VCNA)

Ariels was formed as Victorian Churches Netball Association in 1930 and is one of the oldest netball associations in Australia. Over the past eight decades the club has continued to grow and promote the sport of netball, particularly in Melbourne’s eastern region. In 2008 the club was successful in gaining one of ten licences state-wide for the new elite Victorian Netball League competition. 

Ariels offers a variety of competitions including:

  • Elite VNL
  • High performance program
  • Adult Competitions at The Rings
  • Representative teams - 11 & Under
  • Representative teams - Open

Melbourne East Netball Association (MENA)

Melbourne East Netball Association Rep Team provides an opportunity to further develop and hone players’ netball skills and provides a pathway where players can aspire to play at elite levels. Playing a higher level of sport also develops strong personal and team discipline.

Play MENA Representative netball and develop your skills with experienced coaches.

Maroondah Volleyball (CDVA)

Maroondah Volleyball (Croydon & Districts Volleyball Association Inc.) offers a variety of competitions and teams across all skill levels and ages including:

  • Spikezone for school children
  • Tuesday Nights - Women’s competition
  • Tuesday Nights - Open competition
  • Thursday Night - Open competition
  • State league teams
