The Diving Australia National Age Diving Championships are on at Aquanation from Tuesday 9 April to Sunday 14 April!

The ‘Festival of Diving’ showcases diving as a sport, with divers from all over Australia competing. Training for the championships will take place on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April, with the opening ceremony on Wednesday 10 April. The competition will run from Thursday 11 April through to Sunday 14 April.

Mayor of Maroondah, Councillor Kylie Spears, encouraged the community to join in the fun.

"Council is proud to see Aquanation host the Diving Australia National Age Diving Championships.

“With divers from throughout Australia competing, this is a fantastic opportunity for the local community to get a glimpse of a large-scale sporting event, right here in Maroondah, while we showcase the incredible facilities at Aquanation,” Cr Spears said.

Aquanation is known for its state-of-the-art facilities, including 12 diving boards and platforms from 1 metre through to 10 metres, a 25-metre-wide dive pool with a depth of 5 metre and a 10-lane 50 metre pool. The facility has also hosted other diving competitions of this scale, including the Australian Open Diving Championships in 2022.

Community members are welcome to watch the competition and there is no cost to spectate. Parking at Aquanation may be limited and the diving pool will be unavailable during this time.
