About the event
Hosted by Maroondah City Council, the aim of Run Maroondah is to encourage individuals and families to take part in physical activity together and have fun while doing it!
Run Maroondah is all about challenging yourself within a supportive environment - whether that means taking on the 10km/15km run, 5km run/walk or even the kids 1.2km race.
This event is designed for all ages and athletic abilities. Runners and walkers are welcome to join us for an active morning discovering the tracks and surrounds of HE Parker Reserve - Heathmont.
Entry includes finisher's ribbon and healthy refreshments.

- Date: Sunday 18 September
- Registrations open: Monday 25 July
- Location: HE Parker Reserve, Heathmont
- Registrations close: 5pm, Friday 16 September
Entry fees
- 1.2km Kids Dash - $15 per child (under 14 years)
- 15km run - $36 per individual, $31 concession (no family option)
- 10km run - $31 per individual $26 concession (no family option)
- 5 km run/walk $26 individual, $20 concession, $57 per family* (family is up to 4 participants, additional family members $10 per extra participant)

Race times
- 9am - Kids dash 1.2km
- 9.15am - 10km/15km run
- 9.30am - 5km walk/run
Please note: times may vary slightly, confirmed start times will be included in info pack.
What to bring
- running shoes (shoes must cover your feet no sandals/thongs)
- sunscreen and a hat or a cap
- bottle of water
- warm clothes for after the event
- medication if required
Please label all of your items and do not bring any valuables.
Race map
The 1.2 km will start at HE Parker reserve run a short distance along the Dandenong Creek Trail and finish with a lap of HE Parker Oval number 2.
The 5km, 10km and 15km will also start at HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont and run along the Dandenong Creek Trail finishing on HE Parker Oval number 2.
Race bib collection
To collect your race bib prior to the event, please register by Sunday 11 September. Registered athletes will receive a direct email on Monday 12 September for dates/times and location of race bib collection.
Race bib collection for registrations after Sunday 11 September will be available from the registration marquee on race day.
Facilities
Personal belongings
It is strongly advised not to bring any valuables or belongings to Run Maroondah as there is no storage area and Council does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to items/property. A bag drop will be available for jackets and jumpers.
Toilets
There will be toilets available at the HE Parker Cricket Pavilion (near the oval).
Parking
Accessible parking available at H.E Parker Reserve. Parking will be limited and we strongly encourage families and groups to carpool where possible.
Transport
Heathmont railway station is located on the Belgrave line in Victoria, Australia. Heathmont railway station is situated 1½ km northwest of H.E Parker Reserve.
Race Rules
A few race rules to remember:
- To ensure your time is recorded please run/walk over the start timing pad and end timing pad.
- Please be aware of other runners, walkers and prams.
- Whilst running or walking, if you are experiencing any difficulties and would like assistance, please signal for assistance.
- Participants are encouraged to stop and render assistance in the case of an accident/incident. Report any accident/incident to the nearest Track marshal and they will call for assistance.
- Track marshals are located around the course. All marshals are wearing a fluoro vest. You must obey all directions from the track marshals.
